The Kingcombe Centre is a small, friendly study Centre in converted barns, beside the River Hooke, surrounded by over 500 acres of Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserve and organic farm. Perfect inspiration for anyone who loves the countryside.

 

Courses in Natural History and Conservation- We offer a wide range of residential courses for professional countryside staff and for enthusiastic amateurs.

 

Holidays for visually-impaired adults and their families

 

Day courses for adults - in a wide range of subjects - gardening, painting, natural history illustration, photography, calligraphy, Yoga, local history, music etc…

 

Other Day Events - Dawn chorus walks, Barbecues, Fungus forays, specialist walks, bughunting sessions, etc…

 

Children's Events - Wildlife Explorers' Days, Exploring life in freshwater and a Children's Butterfly Day. Half terms and holidays.

 

Public Guided Walks - Wednesday afternoons February - October: leisurely walks with a naturalist starting at 2:15pm, ending with tea and cakes at the Centre at 4pm - 4.30pm. Fees: Adults £5, children £2.
