WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WALKS
Each walk will cover a particular subject. Unless otherwise stated, meet at The Kingcombe Centre at 2.15pm and return for tea and cake at 4pm - 4.30pm. No need to book in advance, although a telephone call on the day would help with catering.

We have available an electrically powered buggy (a ‘Tramper’) for disabled visitors to use to enable them to explore the surrounding countryside.

WHO IS OUT THERE?
Using poo, nuts, seeds and footprints; learn to find and track animals of the Kingcombe valley.
Assist with a large art installation at The Centre

Wednesday 20 February
FELT MAKING
A sensory walk around the beautiful Kingcombe centre followed by a practical feltmaking session to create beautiful felt pictures and wall hangings.

Thursday 21 February
NATTY NESTLING NEST BOXES
Celebrating National Nest Box Week help our garden birds. A morning constructing naturally decorated nest boxes to take home or erect at The Centre.

THE EGG HUNT WEEKEND
Saturday 22 March 10am - 4pm
Story making and environmental art session for adults and older children. We will be working with the magic of Nature to create an egg hunt for the following day.

Sunday 23 March 10am - noon
Fee: £2 including egg
Return with younger siblings and children to follow the story discovering the treasures made and hidden on the Saturday!
Those who have not taken part in Saturday are still welcome.

Meadows and butterflies, what a glorious place to be! Investigate the butterflies of the reserve look at their habitats and contribute to our invertebrate art work!

GET IN THE MOOD FOR MAMMALS
Take a peek at the small mammals of the Kingcombe Centre, discover the difference between a mouse and a vole!

FRESHWATER FAMILY FUN
Come and get your feet wet in the river Hooke and then learn about the marvellous and numerous life to be found below the surface.
